To be fair, the 'I misheard you' (Glass of juice, not gas the jews) meme isn't Hetalian, it didn't even originate from Hetalians. I'm not saying what the dA user did was okay, but you shouldn't blame Hetalians or even the fandom itself, though I don't think you are. I saw this meme way back, before it was Hetalia-ized.

aaaaah most of that stuff doesn’t originate from hetalians, but regardless of place of origin it’s still incredibly offensive.

thank you for your input though! uvu

I don’t usually go on Deviantart. But this was the first thing I saw in one of my group messages. I do understand the ‘joke’ and understand that the artist asked to not be a dick about it. In their face. (Reason for no direct source)

Even if some people are ‘okay’ with it. It’s incredibly rude to those who are not in the fandom or who have never heard of Hetalia. Another key note is that, even if the joke was true. As in they misheard them. They certainly haven’t misheard about sending them off to concentration camps.

It makes me sad and a bit angry that people would brush it off saying “If we can laugh at it, it means we can joke about the war.” says one of the comments. The Germans would never be so downright disrespectful and joke about that. They are completely mortified of their history. Their past will haunt them for the rest of the country’s livelihood. This is a dick move on any term.

i'm starting to feel bad for liking x readers the ones i read are good sometimes i find bad ones but i mostly find good ones but i'm starting to feel like x readers are dumb because of some stuff people say about x readers do i keep liking them or just stop?

like i said to the 2p!anon:

go ahead and like them as much as you want! i myself wrote a few reader-inserts, and they were mostly written during the time when everyone started hating them. i felt like i needed to stop liking x readers because everyone else said they were terrible.

and i did.

so if you like something, don’t feel the need to stop liking it just because someone else doesn’t!

America had to poop, his butt was all stinky because he had to poop so badly. There was a gross woman named Rebecca who was sunbathing all naked and she was fat. America walked up to her and said, "I need to poop". "Okay, Rebecca replied, "I like poop". America squatted down over the fat sunbathing lady and went poop. The poop sat there on Rebecca's boobs, looking like a weiner.

this was gorgeous thank you

i just need to ask a question it's going to sound weird but now i'm kinda worried gah but anyway would i be considered an annoying fangirl for making doitsu jokes occasionally because some people are annoyed by them (i tag any posts having to do with those jokes tho) and i don't want to come off as a weeaboo??

Nahh, it’s a harmless joke, is all! Even I do it. Joking around and having fun doesn’t make you a weeb; it’s just fandom jokes. Tagging them is pretty smart for the people who find them annoying, so, keep doing what you’re doing!
